How Much We Save Medicare

This 5-year Million Hearts Initiative failed when it could have succeeded. It was a major disappointment for me because I thought it will give a much needed boost to a nationwide heart attack and stroke prevention.

But I persevere with my own “initiative” in my own practice.

With improved patient outcomes, there is a very significant savings for Medicare. Compared to national average for cardiologists, Dr. deGoma save Medicare $8,790 per beneficiary with diagnosis of coronary artery disease and $6,499 per beneficiary with diagnosis of diabetes.
