Severe hypercholesterolemia
Familial hypercholesterolemia is an inherited disease characterized by the absence (homozygous) or markedly reduced (heterozygous) functioning LDL receptors in the liver.

The above case is an example of one of our patients with heterozygous FH. Her baseline LDL-c was 388 mg/dL. Using a combination of rosuvastatin, ezetimibe and PCSK9 inhibitor, her LDL-c dropped from 388 to 74 mg/dL, a decrease of 314 mg/dL or an 81% reduction!
